Osteopatico

Terms of service

These terms govern the use of Osteopatico, the service for osteopaths comprising an appointment calendar, patient records, intake questionnaires and electronic invoicing. By using the service you accept them.

1. Service provider

2. Account

  • The account is personal and reserved for professionals practising osteopathy. Sign-in goes through the identity provider listed in the sub-processor register; you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for every activity carried out with your account.
  • To use the service you must verify the account's email address: until then the functions that process patient data stay blocked.
  • You must keep your profile data up to date and, if you use invoicing, the fiscal data of the billing profile.

3. Roles in data processing

  • For your patients' data you are the controller and Osteopatico is the processor acting on your behalf. The relationship is governed by the data-processing agreement, which you must accept in the version in force in order to create or change patient data; when the agreement is updated, changes to patient data are paused until you accept the new version.
  • The providers Osteopatico relies on are listed in the sub-processor register.
  • For your own data as a professional, the processing is described in the privacy notice for osteopaths.

4. Obligations of the osteopath

  • You use the service in compliance with the law, the professional rules of your discipline and your patients' rights, including the obligation to inform them and to obtain the legal bases required to process their data.
  • You enter only data you are entitled to hold and do not share your access with third parties.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, in particular the fiscal data used to issue invoices.

5. Electronic invoicing

  • Invoices created in the service are issued in your name. Transmission to the Sistema di Interscambio takes place through the intermediary listed in the sub-processor register and requires a mandate that the service asks you to accept before the first transmission.
  • Osteopatico does not provide tax advice: choosing the tax regime, the VAT nature codes and the other elements of an invoice is your responsibility, with the support of your advisor.
  • Fiscal documents issued through the service are kept for the periods required by tax law, even after the account is closed.

6. Availability and changes to the service

  • The service may evolve over time: features may be added, changed or removed. Material changes and scheduled maintenance are announced through notices in the application and by email.
  • Osteopatico takes reasonable measures to keep the service available and the data safe, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We recommend exporting the data you need periodically (the export function is available on each patient's record).

7. Termination

  • You can close the account at any time from the profile settings. On closure your data and your patients' data are erased, except for fiscal documents that must be kept by law: in that case the account is deactivated and only the data required for fiscal retention is kept.
  • Osteopatico may suspend or close an account used in breach of these terms or of the law, notifying the account's email address unless a legal obligation prevents it.

8. Communications

Communications about the service are sent to the account's email address and, where provided for, through notices in the application. You can contact us at the details above.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. The rights the law grants you mandatorily remain unaffected.

10. Changes to the terms

Material changes are announced with a notice in the application and by email before they take effect. The version in force is shown at the bottom of this page.
